The work:
The Light Monster exudes both charm and brightness with its dual light sources, infusing a playful spirit into any space. Its body, formed from two distinct wheel-thrown porcelain pieces, emits a soft glow, while the mouth beams light of its own. Every strand of 'hair' is carefully crafted and individually placed by the artist, Marie Leocadie, who enjoys exploring the tension between porcelain’s elegance and the whimsical nature of her creations. Through precise technique and imaginative design, this one-of-a-kind work is a celebration of contrast and artistry.
Dimensions:
12" x 11" x 5.5"
The artist:
"I could tell you where I’m from, where I live, and what I’ve achieved, but would you truly know me? Instead, I’ll say this: Art is where I breathe, where the noise of life quiets, and where joy spills freely from my hands. To feel deeply is a gift, and through my art, I share that gift with you—hoping it stirs something within you that lingers long after."
