The artist:
Edward Cabral (b. 1987) is a chef and multimedia sculptor based in Brooklyn, NY. His work is rooted in historical and cultural narratives, and his research-based approach to art making seeks out the symbolic resonance of materials and imagery. Many elements within a piece are chosen to convey deeper layers of meaning. This intention attempts to establish a dialogue between the contemporary and the timeless.
