The artist:
José Ángel Santiago, a visual artist from Juchitán, Oaxaca, born in 1990, creates work that delves into nature, cosmic phenomena, Zapotec culture, and social issues. His art blurs the lines between painting and drawing, reflecting his fascination with astronomy and local wildlife. Much of José Ángel Santiago’s work consists of frescoes and murals.
